About Me

My Approach

What to expect?

Counselling (sometimes called talking therapy) gives you a unique opportunity to be heard and understood, without being judged or told what to do. My role is to help you feel safe, to support you, be alongside you and use my professional skills with the aim of helping you understand yourself and your issues better, to feel better able to cope and enabled to live your life how you want to.

Counselling is not giving advice, I am led by your goals and what feels most important to you, to help you come to your own decisions which feel right for you. I am trained in an integrative approach to counselling meaning I draw on a range of psychological approaches in a person-centred way to best meet you and your needs.

How counselling can help?

My clients often leave counselling knowing themselves better, with better well-being (less anxious and depressed), feeling more resilient and with healthier strategies to better cope with everyday life’s struggles, both big and small.

Testimonials

What People Say

“I feel like a different person and now feel I have the coping skills to deal with anything.

Without the counselling I would definitely not be in the place I’m in today”

“Counselling with Lucy has helped me grow, I know the work I have done is down to me wanting to get better but without feeling able to share my honest feelings and being able to fully trust someone I would never have been able to deal with such a major trauma”

Fees and sessions

Format

I am based on the South coast of England and offer video call sessions via zoom or another video platform if that suits you better. Phone sessions can also be offered.

I am trained specifically to offer online and phone counselling. Evidence shows this is as effective as in the room sessions whilst offering people more convenience and I have found individuals often feel more comfortable speaking from their preferred location

Sessions are usually weekly at a set agreed time and day. When I am at full capacity I operate a waiting list.

Fees

I offer a no obligation 20 minute phone or video call

Sessions are then charged at £45 per 50 minute session

I offer a limited number of concessionary / reduced fee places for those on reduced incomes, ask me about this via phone or email
